Having TMJ Pain?
Experience Relief with Neuromuscular and NeuroKinetic Therapy
"I went to see Angie Gray for a massage but unlike other massages I've gotten in the past, she worked on my lower back and relieved pain I had been holding for years. She also worked on my jaw (from teeth grinding) and I have never felt more relief. I highly recommend Angie for any sort of pain reduction."

Nashville Neuromuscular Care - Certified Neuromuscular Massage Therapist and NeuroKinetic Therapist. We treat TMJ pain and educate on how posture influences the condition.
Treatment includes working the muscles of the jaw to release trigger points that may have developed. For many people, with increased levels of stress and anxiety, there is a tendency to clench or grind our teeth at night and even during the day. This consistent contraction of the muscular can lead to trigger points that may refer pain to the eye, eyebrow, teeth, cheeks, temples, back and top of the head and the jaw.
However, often the source of the issue can be in the neck, pelvis position, or body posture. The position of a forward head posture, rounded shoulders, and pelvis position can have a direct impact on how the jaw is positioned. This can then lead to popping, clicking, and pain while opening and closing the jaw, as well as it pain in a neutral position. Therefore, it is important to look at the body as a whole for addressing TMJ pain. The goal is to get the root of the issue to prevent the pain from returning as well as giving relief now.
Your therapist will go over your history, do a full postural evaluation, muscle testing, and treatment to address the jaw pain and the other muscular / postural factors that might be contributing to the pain.
